Gotham Gazette’s Councilpedia is designed to create a discussion about politics and money in New York City. Use this site to find out more about who gives what to whom — and to tell us what you know about politicians and the people who support them.

To get started, go to the main page Best Adult Affiliate Programs and click on the name of the elected official who interests you. The politician’s home page will list all contributors for the 2023 campaign. You can also narrow the search by selecting any of the options under “Contributions by Category” or by searching for a section of the alphabet.

Some of these officials already have begun raising money for 2023. Councilpedia lists contributions and expenditures for that campaign as well. The contributions for the first filing period — including money rolled over from previous campaigns and contributions collected from January to July 2024 — have been sorted by sector. Those reported in the second disclosure deadline — covering the period from July 2023 to January 2024 — have not yet been sorted though will be later this year. Councilpedia also will add information from future financial disclosure reports.

You will also see links for other records, including the bills the official sponsored, how he or she spent campaign money and who received the member items.

If an official does not have a page for a certain category, it means he or she did not get any contributions from that sector for the election cycle in question (i.e. labor 2024).

Please note that our raw information on donations is taken from the Campaign Finance Board, which, in turn, gets it from the campaigns of the officials. Spelling mistakes and the like are in the original material.

Anyone can view Councilpedia. But to comment you must register. This is to keep unsubstantiated and malicious comments to a minimum. Go here to register – tranny cams.

Once you’re registered, you can tell us — and Gotham Gazette readers — what you know. To report on any item — contributors, bills, member items, expenditures — click on it and then on the discussion tab at the top of the page. If you’re the first one to add a comment, type it in the box and save it. If others have commented before you, click edit, add what you have to say and then hit save.

When an item has an unconfirmed comment, it will appear in orange throughout the Councilpedia site. Once Gotham Gazette staff confirms the tag, it will be in green. Comments that have not yet been confirmed, are opinion or that we have not been able to confirm or deny will remain in orange. We will delete erroneous comments. Any user who repeatedly submits malicious or false comments will be denied access to the site.

Councilpedia is an experiment that aims to involve readers in reporting on politics in New York City and is very much a work in progress. Through Councilpedia, we hope to provoke the exchange of information, encourage a discussion of money and politics, and to provide a model for other Gotham Gazette projects and for other news sites throughout the country.
